This diabetes product can be classified as a diabetes accessory, but is, first and foremost, a safety tool. Created out of need, the Glucose Grab® is a positive step towards being prepared and maintaining great diabetes care.

Kathy Contreras, the creator of the Glucose GrabŪ, at an AADE conference.

Kathy Contreras has been diabetic for thirty-one years and has seen a lot change in the diabetes industry and in diabetes supplies. One thing that has remained constant, though, is the need to always be prepared for low blood sugar levels.

"I did not come up with the idea of the Glucose Grab® out of the blue. It was something that I needed and could not find anywhere on the market," Kathy says. "So I designed what I was looking for and decided to start a business manufacturing my own diabetes product."

Since then, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Part of the appeal is the fact that the Glucose Grab® is suitable for every diabetic, Type I or Type II, young or old. Kathy has one on her purse, in her car, in her classroom and in the kitchen. It's right there, anytime she needs it.

A tube of glucose tablets or liquid glucose can be placed inside the Glucose Grab®, as can many of the gels on the market. Many people Kathy has met have told her that they put small candies in the pouch, also.
